Coming weekend 22nd of August, 2020, Super League Arena Games !
Last Race was Mauritius 15th of March, https://www.triathlon.org/results/result/2020_le_morne_atu_triathlon_african_cup/350534 and then the World changed due to COVID-19…….no races, no Olympics, etc…..but Mo took the opportunity to train even harder and spends each week more then 30 hrs on his bike, shoes and in the Swimming pool to prepare for coming races. Together with his Coach Edo he does everything to be stronger, better prepared and enjoys every minute training in the Netherlands. And lucky him, he has some rest-days 🙂 well spend on the beach.
We are looking forward to the start of the season, things are moving in the right direction, so let’s hope Mo will race soon and test his fitness.
Thanks for you support! sorry for being quiet on Social Media, but we are back!

7th Place Asian Cup – Kyrchystan 2019

11th Place Asian Championships 2019
So arrived 5 nights before the race and until the 4th night I can say I kept trying so hard to get in sleep I think each time I lay down in my bed until 2:00am or something until fall deep in sleep und kept wake up due the night !! The 5 night before the race I had A good sleep and felt good on the morning!! Went for some warm up as stretches +run +bike Race Time : first lap of swimming was good so far there was 4 athletes from Japan where in front, second lap they where pushing so hard to escape I tried to keep closer but it didn’t work , first guy swim time 17:40 that’s like Mario Mola or Gomez time world class time! I swam 18:20 (1500m) which’s my fastest time ever ! And the other Mo is just next to me , Good Run into the T1 ,Fast transition and went of in the bike together with other 9 athletes and there’s other 7 in front and one guy in between us, he Is Oscar from Hongkong he was maybe 20sec behind first group and our group was 40sec. so it took Oscar alone only one lap to get the first group ,which amaze me so much !! And it took us 2 laps to close the gap until 25sec and we couldn’t make it closer because not everyone was working with us !! I was so good on the bike where I did work a lot first 4 laps in front to try to get the first group but then I decided to calm down a bit and try to stretch and specially my stomach muscles and manage to drink two bottle of water but after 6 laps where I came close to T2 and trying to bend my feet out of my bike shoe I got crazy cramps on my front+back legs muscles ,trying out to stretch it a little bit but it didn’t work out . So first 2 laps of running Had lot of pain but kept running behind and close to the guys from Kazakhstan where I did made 1,30 second far from the other Mo I had good tempo on the beginning I mean first 2 laps but because of the Running Course even have 3 stiff uphill each lap made me more tired and crampy and then tried as good as I can to the finish line.
- Good think I did control my stomach breathing as long as possible, which I always suffer off!!
- Good plan of leaving the other Mo in first 2 laps
- Swim save which save me a lot of energy
- First group in the swim were too fast and that’s ok tried hard to follow but wasn’t able, didn’t feel so fresh in the water and confused why ?! Mostly i guess because of weather+time different ! anyway good experience and motivated to work more on my swim progression even more
- I can say maybe it was not really smart to work a lot in front due the bike and pushing hard but it worth it a try to get the first group. But happy with my bike performance
So yeah 11th place out of 40 Top 10 are all in top 140 in world ranking No one behind me in the ranking was front of me and thats good Made points! And this Race is Even harder than the Asian games because each country came with more than 3/4 Athletes! Good lesson learned and nice experience to add into my profile ! Thanks for your support! looking forward to the next race.
